Taliban, arnt we hearing there name a bit too much ?
Who justifies what they do ? where is law enforcement with what they do?
they beat up women publicly
they harrass the layman
they have started taking over the Northern areas of our country
whats going on ?!
This video was very shocking and makes a person feel nauseated.
I believe no man can be punished without proff and when there is proff there is law
in Pakistan there is no concept
of public hanging as death sentence
if that existed crime wouldnt be at its peak
after watching this video , one only feels more unsafe knowing there are around your area.

Geo getting shut down
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4Tmud2vH5A
There are so many mixed emotions about this video.
Geo is being shut down, the first thing that comes to mind is " what?"
the second thing that comes to mind is "why"
and lastly some say " thank god"
while others think how unfortunate.
Geo till fight all the way to bring news to the public in their view they were exposing the reality which exists in our government and society and country , but at what cost? the cost that it was decided for them to be shut down? so many jobs jeopardized?
How many homes must have not been able to eat 2 proper meals during this era? or how many people must have had a hard time giving their siblings or children school fees, who accounts to that? everyday when you passed their office there were people standing with candles, and then the thought occurs to you and you realize what has happened. there is not one channel currently running, there are several channels reporting current news, and so what if one news is anti government? is it that resourceful that the government feels threatened by it?
I whole heatedly disagree with the action taken against geo and am glad it is restored, although i am not a regular watcher of that channel and i do not give it my first preference but when i look back and think about how many people were at a loss, producers, directors, anchors, pe ons, runners, set designers and so many more, i am dismayed by the judgement the government took and feel they failed this decision.

Protests
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySEhmjvGoiE
It was pleasing to see that the general public has stepped out on the streets to protest. SOmething that was not done in such abundance before. I feel that if the government is not going to listento you, then you must make sure that other people get the message across which is exactly what was happeining.
Having said that i laso believe that protest should be mainted in a certasin limit, it is healthy to protest, as long as you are no physically causing harm to the enviornemnt or its people. If the government will not listen , this is what aggistated , frustrated angry citizens will do. It was refreshing to see the people blog and youtube such protests, while on the other hand it was very upsetting to see that policehad to use physical violence to try to end and cut down theis protest.
What i do agree with is the flash protest that was used its simple , yet effective.
I feel the citizens of the country have every right to protest , so let them , they want thier voies hear, so hear them. If they cross the limits, become trict on them. But for anyone who wishes to protest , my advice is to get your message across by not causing any harm. And to the officals who hear thier protest, i bleive you should hear them clam them down, give them hope that you will take into account what they say ( after all they are the citizens of your country) and if not that, then put a law where no indivial or groups can prtest for more than 5 hours ina day , or something, but do not use means to hurt these people if they are not hurting you.
